I'd have to read lots more of Lewis to get a better understanding. I couldn't help but notice that portrait he put up (on the right hand side) of the dead bishop(?) with a mantid on top of the body. Very disturbing, as it relates to images/memories of 'aliens' - insectoids, for me. Reading your memory/dream of the "giant eagle" coming down to you, while you're in repose on your illuminated white bed, made me think of Betty Andreassen's Phoenix encounters in the Raymond Fowler books which centered on her on-going abduction experiences.
